Black Jack Anyone?
A few times a year, the staff get together and have a casino night for all residents. Mangers
and other employees don their black pants and white shirts and become dealers for the
night. The blackjack tables are set up, the chips are counted, and the roulette wheel is
dusted off. Bingo cards are set out and the slot machines are plugged in. Right after
dinner, the doors are opened, and the crowds arrive. In a matter of minutes, everyone
picked up their bag of chips and found a table. It doesn’t take long to shuffle the cards and
place a bet.

This is a night that everyone enjoys. No one has to know how to play, because the dealers
teach as they deal. Friends compete to collect the most chips and sometimes talk a little
trash. All in all, everyone is excited about beating the dealer and maybe winning a prize at
the end of the night.
After a few hours of hard play, a little wine, pretzels and bragging, the chips are counted.
The top three players with the highest chip count win a prize provided by the house.
Nobody loses anything, and everyone has a great time.

This year our top winner started out with $300.00 in chips and ended up with over $1600.
He was way above the 2nd place winner, cashing out with $550.00 chips. A real winner for
sure!
This is just one of the many activities that residents enjoy and participate in at Windsor
Point. Each week another event will be featured on our website.
