Activities at Windsor Point: Regency Court—October Surprises, Socials, and Spooky Fun

Welcome back to our “Every Day is an Exclamation Point” series! This week, we’re stepping onto Regency Court—Windsor Point’s Independent Plus community, where the calendar is so lively, you’d think someone spiked the prune juice with Red Bull.

Move, Groove, and Stretch It Out

Here, no two days (or muscles) are ever the same.

  • Bend & Stretch on Mondays—kickstart your week, loosen up, and maybe show off those moves from the ’70s.
  • Stretch It Out on Tuesdays and Fridays, just in case you overdid it during Monday Bingo.
  • Chair Exercise on Saturdays, for those who believe every good workout should come with a comfortable seat.
  • Sitercise on Thursdays—because sitting is the new standing, and Regency Court knows how to make it count!

Coffee, Muffins, and Mingling

Who needs a reason to gather when you’ve got Morning Mingle (Wednesdays) and Mugs & Muffins (multiple days)? Here, every mug tells a story, and every muffin mysteriously disappears—usually before the first round of gossip is finished.

Want more connection? Don’t miss “Coffee with Sharon” (October 21)—our Executive Director’s open-door chat that’s become a Regency Court favorite. It’s your chance to ask questions, share ideas, or just enjoy some good conversation over a fresh cup of coffee. Sharon’s warmth and humor always set the tone—around here, it’s not just a meeting, it’s a reminder that everyone’s voice matters.

Games, Puzzles & Competitive Spirits

If you thought Bingo was just a game, you’ve never seen Regency Court on a Friday.

  • Bingo!—Tuesdays and Fridays. Let’s just say, people play for keeps.
  • Puzzle Time, Jigsaw Puzzle, Bean Bag Toss, Rope Toss, Card Games, Checkers, Dominos, Scrabble, Boggle, Corn Hole—if it can be played, tossed, solved, or shouted across a room, it’s on the schedule.

There’s even a special Pumpkin Craft session (Oct 16) and Halloween Word Search (Oct 9) for those who like their competition with a side of creativity.

Outings & Adventures

Life at Regency Court isn’t just about what happens inside.

  • Shop Fuquay every Wednesday morning, perfect for a little retail therapy or to test how many bags the Windsor Point bus can really hold.
  • Lunch Outings to local gems like Farmers Market Raleigh, Naylor’s Farm, Willow Oak Farm, Dorothy Dix Park—because sometimes, you just need a change of scenery (and a really good biscuit).
  • Crowder Park with the turtles (Oct 23). Turtles: the unofficial Regency Court mascot

Special Events & Support

  • Audiologist visits (Oct 2), Eyeglass adjustments (Oct 15), and Devotion on Mondays—because wellness is about mind, body, and spirit.
  • Shadow Ridge Church every Sunday afternoon.
  • Wake Chapel Youth Group brings youthful energy every Wednesday night at 6:30pm. (Someone hide the cookies.)

Celebrations & Spooky Vibes

October wouldn’t be complete without a little party!

  • Birthday Party (Oct 27 at noon)—cake, candles, the works.
  • Happy Halloween (Oct 31): Spooky Stories & Fun at 10am, a special mingle, and a “Friday Flicks” horror movie matinee (bonus points for costumes)

The Regency Court Way

Every day is a new adventure at Regency Court. Whether it’s a fierce game of Corn Hole, a peaceful stretch session, or a laugh-filled outing, the real magic is the community. Friends, neighbors, and plenty of staff who know exactly how you like your coffee.

So here’s to October—where every day has a little extra “!”
