This week we are celebrating our AMAZING EMPLOYEES!
Many companies have nurses’ week, or secretaries’ day, etc.. I found that by trying to keep up with the individual days to honor our staff, sometimes people get missed. There are many people behind the scenes that are very important in making this business run smoothly. For instance: security, maintenance, laundry, housekeeping…and the list goes on. We have over 170 employees on staff and every one of them is an important part of Windsor Point. No department is better or more appreciated than the next. We could not get the job done even if one of these positions was not filled with caring, hard-working people.
As I was thinking about employees, I decided to see how many people have been employed for three years or more. This is what I discovered:
Dietary and Waitstaff: 4ppl 3-5yrs / 9ppl 5+yrs / 4ppl 10+yrs
Health Care: 14ppl 3+yrs / 1p 7+yrs / 2ppl 10+yrs
Housekeeping and Laundry: 2ppl 3-5yrs / 2ppl 7+yrs / 1p 10+yrs
Maintenance and Security: 2ppl 3-5yrs / 2ppl 7+yrs / 1p 10+yrs
Independent Plus and Royal Treatment: 3ppl 3-5yrs / 7ppl 7+yrs / 1p 20+yrs
Management Throughout: 6ppl 3-5yrs / 7ppl 7+yrs / 9ppl 10+yrs / 3ppl 20+yrs
So that makes about 40% have been here three years or longer. In this industry that is a remarkable statistic. During Covid, we were one of the few places that never had an agency come in to work. Our employees hung in there and carried us through.
