At Windsor Point, our residents are the heart of our community, and last week, we made sure the spotlight was exactly where it belonged.
From Monday, May 11 through Friday, May 15, Windsor Point celebrated Resident Appreciation Week with a full week of fun, laughter, music, food, animals, sweet treats, and plenty of “main character energy.”
The theme for the week said it best: The spotlight is on you. And truly, it was.
We kicked things off Monday with a princess party, where our residents were treated like the royalty they are. With visiting princesses, photo opportunities, and plenty of smiles, the afternoon brought a little magic to the Windsor Point campus.
On Tuesday, Elvis entered the building, and our residents were ready. With music, movement, and a whole lot of rock-and-roll spirit, the performance brought energy and excitement to the afternoon. There is just something about a familiar song that brings people together, and this event proved it.
Wednesday was all about good food and good company with our Resident Cookout Lunch. Residents enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs with toppings, chips, lemonade, tea, and strawberry shortcake. It was the kind of meal that feels like summer showed up early and pulled up a chair.
Thursday may have been one of the most heartwarming days of the week, with a visit from some very special animal guests. Residents enjoyed spending time with baby piglets, baby goats, a baby cow, a llama, bunnies, and more. There were smiles everywhere, because honestly, it is hard to have a bad morning when baby animals are involved. That’s just science with fur.
We wrapped up the week Friday with ice cream sundaes and all the fixings. It was the perfect sweet ending to a week designed to celebrate the people who make Windsor Point such a special place.
Resident Appreciation Week is more than a series of events. It is a reminder of why we do what we do. Our residents bring warmth, humor, history, personality, and life to Windsor Point every single day. They are the reason our campus feels like a true community.
This week gave us a chance to pause, celebrate, and say thank you.
To our residents: thank you for the joy you bring, the stories you share, the laughter you create, and the community you help build. Windsor Point is better because of you.
